I Quit this Bitch

And one wonders why I drink. Here we are at the top 10, now, of American Idol and another quality singer has gone home when it should be Vajayjay Malakar instead.

Singer, he is not. The American population of girls (& boys for that matter) 12 & under may be his biggest fan base, but the most destructive is that of Votefortheworst.com. While I hate everything they stand for, they DO have the most hilarious recaps ever.

This season, they are plugging Sanjaya and are ferverously voting for him to stay on the show. By doing this, good singers are sacrificed and this week's sacrificial lamb was none other than Stephanie Edwards.

Do better, America. Don't let Punjabi MC's heavenly locks fool you. And don't let that lil crying cunt fool you, either.

Super Nanny My Ass

I'm watching this show, but it's not one of my regular TV shows to watch. It disturbs me, actually. I'm already not one for kids. Then, I have to watch a show with parents who can't control their kids, letting them talk to them any kind of way while this lady comes into their home talking about a "time out corner" and "counting" to calm down...wtf?

I'm mentally writing a book. There are things that I often see and hear that can be included in my mental book, titled "I don't have kids, but if I did..." and in that book (which I'll outline my chapters in another post at a later date), I'd include this list of dealing with a mouthy/bad assed kid:

1. Learn how to sternly say the word "Hell NO" and "WAIT"
2. Have quick reflexes. Have your pimphand ready to fly back and pop lips.
3. Carry a purse with a detachable strap. Easier to grab than a belt.
4. Punch them in the throat. Okay, that was a joke...kinda.

Those are just for starters...

The Little Mermaid...on Ice

So, Friday night, I took my Goddaughter to see Disney On Ice: Princess Wishes. It was cute. Tons of screaming kids dressed up in their lil Disney Princess Halloween costumes. Whatev.

Anyway, the story starts off with Mickey & Minnie introducing "wishes" and how each princess has a wish of some sort. We then follow the tales of Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, Ariel and Mulan as they hook up with their Princes and skate. Oh yeah, Tinkerbell was there to confuse children by being out of her element and sprinkling her magic on each scenario to bring the characters to life.

So, all is well until the very end when each Princess and her Prince skates out for the final ensemble skate. Ariel from the Little Mermaid takes a dive and plunges onto the ice. Nevermind the fact that the one in this picture looks like a dude. But nonetheless, it was interesting to see her hit the ice. Not that I wanted her to, but hell, that's something you just don't see everyday. I blame America's Funniest Home Videos for making us laugh at people hurting themselves for money.

Television is great!

It's your window to the world. Whether you're watching the news, to stay up to date with who got shot in the hood or what Bush is doing to screw up, TV is great. I don't budge when my favorite show is on, no phone, no computer, nothing. Since my tv season is kicked up a notch with the start of a couple new seasons, here is my tribute to my fav tv shows (in no particular order).

I can't wait for the Sopranos' final season:

Right now, I'm diggin this show:

Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? (let's see how long this one will last)

I love watching various shows on:

and in the spirit of cooking:

I think I'll do a fav movie post at another date. It's almost time for... wait for it... the news!
